fave of the day

i've gone a little photo crazy lately.  macie is probably beginning to think that mama grew a camera out of her face!  so far i have learned that i have to take tons of pics to get a few that i like.  

here are the ones that i liked today.

snowcones

we had our first snowcones of the summer the other day.  macie loved my peach ice cream snow cone,  but wouldn't have anything to do with blake's mai tai... good girl :-).  i'm still learning to use my new camera and discovering the infinite possibilities for post-processing...it's a little overwhelming.

music in the park

every thursday evening during the summer there is a free concert in the park just up the road.  we took macie this evening...i thought it was going to be hot and muggy, but it was a great night.

garden girl

blake loves his little fruit and vegetable garden...and macie loves helping him.  she eats most of the strawberries before we ever make it back into the house!

coloring

today was our first official day of summer break!  we spent the afternoon coloring.  well, i colored and macie tried to eat the crayons!  she also was more entertained by taking all the crayons out of the box and then putting them all back in...over and over again.

fun run

it was our intention (several months ago) to run in the oklahoma city memorial marathon this weekend.  however, we ended up being cheap and found a free run to do with our friend kim.  kim and i ran the 5K and blake ran with macie on her first 10K run!

prom #8

i survived another prom!  last weekend we had our prom in bricktown...it was a masquerade ball.  i had lots of fun...this was the easiest prom i have ever planned.  so glad that it's over; however, i am already starting to plan next year's prom.
