number 9

"here's looking at you kid", "a walk to remember", "hollywood nights", "somewhere in the sun", "james bond: 007", "rock and roll", "red carpet affair", "masquerade", and "a night in paris."  is it crazy that i can recall all 9 proms that i have planned?!?  i plan all school year for prom and am always so relieved once they are over!  the school year is downhill from here :-)!  p.s.- those are my sweet junior class officers that worked their tails off helping me this year...thanks girls!

easter sunday

this post is week late...i've had a crazy week with prom activities.  last sunday, however, we had easter lunch at our house.  we were supposed to have an easter egg hunt for parker, peyton and macie, but it rained all day...so we ended up doing a "mini" hunt inside the house (notice the egg hidden in uncle brad's shirt in the last picture...we were desperate for hiding spots).  i took the easy way out for this "party" and used free printables from this amazing designer- http://partyboxdesign.blogspot.com/ - i love her stuff and was excited that she had such a cute, free theme for easter.

ou

i took macie to the oval circle at ou a few weeks ago to take some spring time pictures.  she loves ou and was so excited to go.  anytime she sees anyone wearing something with ou on it she starts chanting "ou, ou, ou..."  sorry any cowboy or texas friends out there...

sweet {emma}

look at this adorable little bundle that i got to spend the afternoon with!!! how lucky am i?!? she was the sweetest little thing and so photogenic...i have lots more pictures to get done for her mama.

i had so much fun hanging out with olivia and her parents last night.  here are just a few of the pics that i got of them.  next time we get together it will be for macie and olivia to play!

spring decor

in this last image...i love the addition of the silver bunny platter to my spring decor...it was my mema's and brings many memories of her and her home around easter time.

jelly beans

macie still seems to think that EVERYTHING is purple.  so one evening this week (while watching "tangled"...love that movie!...a must have for any little girl) blake took it upon himself to try to teach her colors using jelly beans.  he would put two different colored jelly beans on his stomach and ask her if she wanted the "orange or the blue", or if she wanted the "yellow or green", or the "pink or purple."  she caught on pretty quick and would say which color she wanted and then pick that color up.  so, i think she knows her colors and maybe just thinks it's funny to say that everything is purple.  the day after blake's color lesson, i asked macie what color different things were and everything was back to being purple! who knows!?!
