sports fan

thursday night i took macie to her first wrestling seeding meeting. the coaches all thought she was pretty sweet. thank goodness blake went with me to help take care of macie while i set up brackets. then friday night we took her to her first basketball game. her "grandma" sandy held her most of the game!

valentines

macie had a busy first valentines day. the day before we went up to the school and delivered valentine cookies to the teachers and secretaries. daddy had roses sent to both of us while we were at school. then on valentines day, aunt debbie and uncle carlous came to visit from texas and we all went out to eat at county line.

we have gone a little bit nuts taking pictures of macie. it seems like we get the camera out every couple of hours and take pictures of her.

macie mae

macie arrived at exactly 40 weeks...february 2 at 3:30 in the morning. she is 7 lbs. 7 oz and 20 inches long. we weren't expecting to see all that black hair, but we obviously think it is gorgeous. we have already had so much fun with her the past few days...she is an excellent baby. i even got a combined 8 hours of sleep on our first night home with her!

baby shower

we had a great baby shower on sunday afternoon. my mom, aunt debbie, friend kim and her mom dk did such an awesome job of putting together a terrific afternoon. the shower was at our house since all of the hostesses live out of town. we got so many cute things for macie and can't wait to use all of it. my cousin justin's little girl, laine, helped me open all of my presents. she is so adorable! thanks to everyone that came and helped us celebrate the upcoming arrival of our little girl! 2 weeks to go (hopefully)!

8 months

4 weeks to go!!! i've got used to her being inside me...i think in a way i will be really sad when she comes out. i feel like i am having separation anxiety. i feel great, though, ...still working out, sleeping well and teaching all day. hopefully labor and delivery will go as smooth as the rest of the pregnancy!
