we left shawnee christmas night at around 6:00 for what should have been a 30 minute drive home. when we got about 10 miles from home I-40 got really icy. a semi-truck right in front of us jack-knived and blocked the entire interstate. we were at a complete standstill. macie started to fuss so i got her out of her carseat to change her diaper (getting her out of the carseat was against my better judgement...we were at a complete standstill, though, and all the cars around us were in park). after i changed her diaper she sat up and threw-up all over me! she proceeded to vomit every 10 to 20 minutes for the next 6 hours! we finally made in to our house at 9:00 (3 hours in a pukey car)! this is the first time she has been sick...there is nothing more heartbreaking than seeing your baby sick and not being able to take their pain away. we stayed up with her until 3:00 a.m. when she finally started to get better. the next several days she was sickly acting so we spent most of the week between christmas and new years in the house trying to get well. and, yes, i did end up getting sick too...not a fun week at all!
Oh, that sounds horrible. I hate being stuck in weather, but dealing with throw-up would be so hard!
