prom 2009

well, i survived my 7th prom this weekend. without knowing it i scheduled it on easter weekend, which made it all the more stressful. prom turned out great, as always, with the help of blake and this year macie...she was such a big help :-)! macie made lots of new friends decorating friday night and saturday morning. kelci (in the blue dress) was a huge help taking care of macie. she slept through most of the prom, but woke up just in time to take her picture with the prom king, daniel. i am very thankful that prom is over for another year!

animal print day

the ladies at memaw's office wear animal print every wednesday...last wednesday macie wore her animal print too.

macie is finally starting to smile...we still have to work to get her to grin...but it is so worth it! (the smiles are still hard to catch with the camera!)

my cousin annie called the other night to get some tips on making a cute blog...that got me thinking and i've been working since then on making my own background and title for my blog. it has been a little bit frustrating and i've had to get help from some students at school...they are so much smarter than me! but i am finally getting the hang of making my blog look better. i hope to start adding more fun things...so check back soon! if you have any suggestions please let me know.

macie has been busy growing...these are a few of my favorite pics from the past few weeks.

sports fan

thursday night i took macie to her first wrestling seeding meeting. the coaches all thought she was pretty sweet. thank goodness blake went with me to help take care of macie while i set up brackets. then friday night we took her to her first basketball game. her "grandma" sandy held her most of the game!

valentines

macie had a busy first valentines day. the day before we went up to the school and delivered valentine cookies to the teachers and secretaries. daddy had roses sent to both of us while we were at school. then on valentines day, aunt debbie and uncle carlous came to visit from texas and we all went out to eat at county line.
